Description
In the category of Social and Cultural Diversity on the National Counselor Examination (NCE), the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE), or another counseling exam, you’ll want to have a good understanding of what culture does, and how it can influence thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
This video will also cover important terminology related to culture. We will discuss the terms of macroculture, microculture, acculturation, cultural humility, and being a culturally competent counselor. We also discuss the ideas of universal culture, national culture, regional culture, and ecological culture. Finally, we look at etic and emic, as well as high-context and low-context cultures.
